Eric works with businesses and individuals providing legal counsel in a wide range of immigrant and non-immigrant options. Eric understands that navigating U.S. immigration laws can be overwhelming and strives to demystify the process for clients as much as possible. Eric is dedicated to providing the highest-quality legal representation and values in conjunction with being sensitive to client needs, whether the case involves assisting with a family-based petition, an employment-based petition, or an application for U.S. citizenship.
Eric’s interest in pursuing the practice of immigration law is rooted in his experience growing up in a bi-cultural household and living, studying, and working abroad. Given his passion for learning about other cultures and his experience seeing the ways in which immigrants enrich their communities, immigration law is a natural fit. Eric began his involvement with immigration law over ten years ago, helping asylum seekers assert their legal claims through the Boston College Immigration and Asylum Clinic.
Eric’s experiences living abroad solidified his interest in working with individuals from other cultures. Eric worked at the Office of the Prosecutor at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague, Netherlands, where he joined a team of attorneys prosecuting a war crimes case against Croatian military officials. He also lived and worked in São Paulo, Brazil, where he worked with non-governmental organizations advocating for human rights and access to justice. On the side, he was providing standardized test preparation and admissions consulting to high school students dreaming of coming to the U.S. for school.
Eric has practiced immigration law on both coasts of the United States where he has represented clients in removal defense cases, family-based petitions, and employment-based petitions. Most recently, he worked at the Irish International Immigrant Center, where he focused on providing legal assistance to applicants pursuing naturalization.
Eric believes in a client-centered approach that seeks to reduce any anxiety associated with the immigration process. Whether representing a client seeking a short-term or long-term stay in the United States, Eric is dedicated to finding the best possible solution to the client’s needs.
Outside of the office, Eric enjoys studying jazz piano and biking. He also loves watching documentary films.
