State Department Accepting Green Card Lottery Applications

Each year, individuals from eligible countries can apply for a green card through the U.S. government's lottery system. If one is chosen, then one must complete processing of either their immigrant visa application or adjustment of status application prior to the end of the next fiscal year. The State Department administers this program and the filing season is now upon us (October 1, 2015 through November 3, 2015).
